Dr. Bannon’s medical journey began at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed her General Surgery Residency at Ascension Health Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. This rigorous training equipped her with the skills to excel in both general surgery and specialized vein care.

During her undergraduate years, she supported disabled students as a Medical Assistant, showcasing her lifelong dedication to helping others.
