Miller Vein employees volunteered with the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan for Operation School Bell to distribute essentials at elementary schools in Oak Park and Mt. Clemens. Since 2014, we have closed our offices, spent a day setting up a store-like environment and helped students select new winter coats and more. Miller Vein is proud to be named “Best Vascular Specialist” by the Monroe News’ “Best of Monroe County” for the 4th straight year.

February 2, 2018 – The Novi Chamber of Commerce awarded Miller Vein the Best Place to Work Runner Up Award at the 2018 “Toast of the Town” gala. The award was presented by Senator Mike Kowall at the event which is hosted by the Novi Chamber of Commerce annually. Miller Vein previously won the Customer Service Excellence Award in 2015 and the Community Builder Award in 2017 at this same event.

August 5, 2015 – Miller Vein has been granted a three-year term of reaccreditation in Vascular Testing in the areas of Peripheral Venous Testing by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Miller Vein has proudly remained an accredited vein clinic since 2012.

Health care organizations are held to high levels of accountability. Patients should remain cautious in making sure that their procedures are performed within accredited facilities, because for many facilities it remains a voluntary process. The IAC is widely respected within the medical community and ensures patients receive quality care.

Accreditation by the IAC means that Miller Vein has undergone a thorough review of its operational and technical components by a panel of experts. The IAC grants accreditation only to those facilities that are found to be providing quality patient care, in compliance with national standards through a comprehensive application process including detailed case study review. Through the accreditation process, facilities assess every aspect of daily operation and its impact on the quality of health care provided to patients.

IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indication that the facility has been carefully critiqued on all aspects of its operations considered relevant by medical experts in the field of Vascular Testing. February 27, 2015 – The Novi Chamber of Commerce awarded Miller Vein the Customer Service Excellence Award for 2015. Miller Vein demonstrated a commitment to excel in all areas of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. The Miller Vein team showed the ability to interact effectively with customers and express a passion that runs through the company to address customer service.

The award was presented at the Novi Chamber of Commerce “Toast of the Town” gala at The Hotel Baronette on February 27, 2015. Former WDIV-TV Meteorologist Chuck Gaidica presented the award.

November 17, 2014 – Miller Vein, Metro-Detroit’s premier medical office for varicose and spider vein treatment, has been recognized as one of Michigan’s “Coolest Places to Work” by Crain’s Detroit Business magazine. The “Cool Places” distinction was designed to identify and honor the best employers in Michigan, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.

“After screening potential new hires and insuring they are the best and brightest, we try our very best to employ only the most kind, caring and compassionate people,” said Founder Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D. “I consider myself extremely lucky to work with such amazing people. They created this cool place!”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Cool Places to Work in Michigan. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Crain’s Detroit Business runs the “Cool Places to Work” program in conjunction with the Best Companies Group, a specialist in employee surveys and analysis.

April 18, 2014- Miller Vein received an award for Science & Technology at Corp! magazine’s 2014 DiSciTech awards ceremony held yesterday morning.

Miller Vein was recognized for innovative Electronic medical records (EMR) system like none other. The unique EMR system integrates ultrasound technology and the call center VOIP system.

It is thru strides in technology that Miller Vein is able to consistently deliver and exceed customers’ expectations!

As far as Dr. Jeffrey Miller is concerned, specialization is key to the success of his Miller Vein practice. “This allows us to not only stay current with what is available in technology but allows us to develop new approaches.” One of those is VeinErase, a trademarked method for treating spider veins that Miller says is both painless and affordable. It’s also created great word-of-mouth interest, adds Miller, a native of the state who plans to stay put. “I love the change in seasons, the beautiful scenery and most importantly the people.” At the same time, Miller has concerns about how various provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (the so-called Obamacare legislation) will affect his practice. “On the business front, we have noticed an increase in our premiums and are unsure how much higher they will go. We have also noticed that insurance carriers are requiring more and more paperwork,” says Miller. “With the bill being over 2,700 pages and many new rules and regulations, I can’t really imagine nor predict what will happen. For our part, we plan to keep providing the absolute best customer service while supporting our employees with the most enjoyable work environment.”

June 2013- Miller Vein wins “Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots Award” presented by Corp! Magazine.
For the past six years Corp! magazine (http://www.corpmagazine.com/) has honored Michigan companies and entrepreneurs who are a driving force in the economy and state’s innovation. This year the publication honored both Michigan Economic Bright Spots and Entrepreneurs of Distinction at a Premier Awards Breakfast and Symposium held June 27, 2013 at the VisTaTech Center in Livonia.

Winners of this year’s awards were featured in the May/June 2013 Corp! print edition and in the June 27, 2013 Everything Business digital e-publication. Winners were selected based on an online questionnaire, which determined their growth over the past year as well as their economic impact on the state of Michigan.

November 2011- Michigan Doctor Named “Entrepreneur of Distinction” By Corp! Magazine Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D., founder and owner of Miller Vein, was named one of Corp! Magazine’s “Entrepreneurs of Distinction” for 2011 yesterday at the publication’s fourth annual ceremony honoring award recipients.
Each year, Corp! Magazine applauds select Michigan entrepreneurs for their efforts in forwarding the new Michigan economy through leadership, innovation, vision and other qualities of success.

“I am truly honored to be recognized by Corp! Magazine as one of their ‘Entrepreneurs of Distinction’,” said Dr. Miller, who has been named one of the Detroit area’s top physicians. “Despite these challenging economic times, we have kept the faith by opening three new locations (in Troy, Novi and Dearborn), hence continuing our vision to have ten sites in Michigan within 5 years.”

A board certified Interventional Radiologist and Phlebologist, Dr. Miller was one of Michigan’s first physicians to perform a highly technical, innovative venous treatment procedure that was life-changing and pain-free for patients. Dr. Miller‘s vision for a new type of vein treatment program began while performing non-invasive vein procedures at a well-known Michigan hospital. Deciding there was too much “red-tape” and recovery time involved with performing this innovative procedure within a hospital setting, Dr, Miller began brainstorming what he could do about it.

“I made the decision to act on my vision of conducting non-invasive, virtually pain free venous treatments within a clinic, rather than a hospital setting. I left my 12 year position at the hospital and opened my first vein specialty center with one employee. We now have three locations and employ 20 people,” explains Dr. Miller. “I am very grateful to Corp! November, 2009 – Novi Vein (Previously Advanced Vein Therapies) was honored at the second annual Novi Business Recognition Awards. After receiving nominations from customers and community members, six awards were presented by Mayor David B. Landry at the second annual Business Recognition Awards held on Monday, November 23, 2009. Nov 23, 2009 The award program was created to honor organizations whose exemplify Novi spirit and serve as models for other community partners. Nominees were evaluated on business practices, corporate citizenship, and green technologies. A committee of representatives from Oakland County, Novi Economic Development Corporation, Novi News, Novi Chamber of Commerce, and Novi Community Schools reviewed all nominations and selected the winners. Other green initiatives include energy conservation, electronic medical records and green purchasing strategies.
