Michigan Doctor Named “Entrepreneur of Distinction” By Corp! Magazine
Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D., founder and owner of Miller Vein, was named one of Corp! Magazine’s “Entrepreneurs of Distinction” for 2011 yesterday at the publication’s fourth annual ceremony honoring award recipients.
Each year, Corp! Magazine applauds select Michigan entrepreneurs for their efforts in forwarding the new Michigan economy through leadership, innovation, vision and other qualities of success.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by Corp! Magazine as one of their ‘Entrepreneurs of Distinction’,” said Dr. Miller, who has been named one of the Detroit area’s top physicians. “Despite these challenging economic times, we have kept the faith by opening three new locations (in Troy, Novi and Dearborn), hence continuing our vision to have ten sites in Michigan within 5 years.”

A board certified Interventional Radiologist and Phlebologist, Dr. Miller was one of Michigan’s first physicians to perform a highly technical, innovative venous treatment procedure that was life-changing and pain-free for patients. Dr. Miller‘s vision for a new type of vein treatment program began while performing non-invasive vein procedures at a well-known Michigan hospital. Deciding there was too much “red-tape” and recovery time involved with performing this innovative procedure within a hospital setting, Dr, Miller began brainstorming what he could do about it.
“I made the decision to act on my vision of conducting non-invasive, virtually pain free venous treatments within a clinic, rather than a hospital setting. I left my 12 year position at the hospital and opened my first vein specialty center with one employee. We now have three locations and employ 20 people,” explains Dr. Miller. “I am very grateful to Corp! Magazine for its commitment to and support of successful Michigan-based businesses and entrepreneurs.”
